"While driven to understand how the world, and the human body in particular, works at a high scientific level, a part of me has always been attracted to creating beautiful things with my own hands and exploring my creativity. Synovia Science Studios is my attempt at uniting these two passions in my life and showing the beauty of science to the world."

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

​

• As an instructional designer and through my extensive university education, I have gained solid experience in scientific/medical and academic writing, including clinical trial documentation, script writing, academic theses, and manuscripts for scientific papers.

​

• I have about 5 years total experience working in different laboratories, using wide-ranging techniques including cell culture, in vivo models, primary tissue isolation and culture,  multi-colour flow cytometry, ELISA, immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting, PCR etc.​

​

• I have 2+ years experience in science writing for a lay audience at The Gryphon Newspaper and Synovia Science Studios blog. See some of my texts in the blog and portfolio here on the website.

​

• One year experience as an editor (online and print) at The Gryphon Newspaper science section. I had responsibility for the weekly print content of the science section, editing the work of fellow writers and generating ideas for new content.

​

• Self-thought artist, painting and drawing for as long as I can remember, currently focusing on biomorphic art and science illustration.
